Why attributes matter so much
In NBA 2K, attributes tie into more than your overall number. Badge tiers have attribute requirements, and how your player moves and finishes depends heavily on these values. That makes a good build slow to put together, which is exactly why some players want a shortcut.
Ways players think about it
- Fixing one weak spot. Everything about your build works except one attribute, such as three point shot or ball handle.
- Testing builds. Trying a different archetype without committing weeks to it.
- Skipping the grind. Spending your time playing instead of leveling.
A few honest cautions
The product page marks the unlock options as visible to everyone. It does not say the same about attribute changes, so do not assume how they appear to other players.
